Bacaro<\/strong><\/p>\nThe \u201cbacaro\u201d is the typical Venetian pub and it is characterized by an ancient and genuine atmosphere where you can discover the typical flavors of the tradition and taste the local wines.<\/cite>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n

<\/p>\n\n

Cantina Do Mori<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

Opened in 1462, it is one of the most ancient and famous \u201cbacari\u201d in the city and it is located near the Rialto Bridge. The story goes that even Casanova was a regular of this tavern. The most typical thing? The \u201cfrancobolli\u201d, that is sandwiches of small dimensions, served with wines contained \u2013 according to the tradition \u2013 in large jugs behind the counter.<\/p>\n\n

All’arco<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

You do not need to walk away that much to reach the All\u2019arco Bar. Once you left the Cantina Do Mori, you only need to walk some meters along the homonymous \u201ccalle\u201d to reach another place to mark on your map. In this little pub you will be able to taste some of the nicest \u201ccicchetti\u201d in the city.<\/p>\n\n

Cantina Do Spade<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

Among the most ancient taverns in the city. Loyal to the tradition of the Venetian cuisine, they try to introduce tourists to the typical recipes, respecting the seasonality of the ingredients. A little bit of innovation makes every dish more contemporary.<\/p>\n\n

Da Lele<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

Opened for more than a generation it is probably the smallest \u201cbacaro\u201d, but the most frequented one in Venice. At Da Lele a wide and exceptional selection of small sandwiches with local cold cuts and more is served with excellent wines.<\/p>\n\n

Enoteca al Volto<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

Founded in 1936, it is located in Calle Cavalli, it not only proposes a range of \u201combre e cicchetti\u201d, but it also some typical dishes of the Venetian cuisine. A wide selection of wine bottles is good to match with the \u201ccicchetti\u201d that you will find at the counter every day.<\/p>\n\n

Cantinone gi\u00e0 Schiavi<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

Mom Alessandra with the help of its sons continues the business with vivacity and creativity which she expresses in the multitude of \u201ccicchetti\u201d that fill up the window: tuna and radish, tuna and leeks, brie and nettle sauce, pumpkin with ricotta and parmesan, or unusual ingredients like flower petals and cocoa. There is no shortage of great classics with salt cod or herring and a variety of cold cuts and cheeses.<\/p>\n\n

Enoteca Mascareta<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

In full possession of that Venetian goliardery which characterizes the region, the innkeeper laughs, jokes, sings, let you have some tastes of his wines, he explains them and hopping from table to table as a real innkeeper should do. The food is excellent, the wine is exceptional, but what has left everyone speechless is the hospitality derived from the passion for its own job.<\/p>\n\n

Ai Rusteghi<\/a><\/h3>\n\n

With over 380 wines available by the glass, it is surely a must-visit for every wine lover. The wide selection of mini sandwiches, Venetian \u201ccicchetti\u201d, and lagoon specialties, everything strictly homemade, is no less important. Its position is in a bit hidden small \u201ccalle\u201d, which guarantees peach and quietness.
